Reflections of Trigonometric functions: The effect of “a”if it is negative, will be a reflection in the x-axis, similar to the parabola.So for sin, and cos functions, the maximumpoint on the graph will become a minimum and vice versa.  If we need to graph y=-2sin x, the graph will be stretched by a factor of 2, and reflected in the x-axis.
